About Me

Born and raised, Chautauqua County has and always will be my home. I work at Evergreen Outfitters as an instructor and manager. Paddling, hiking, cycling, running, snowshoeing, and skiing are my favorite activites and hobbies. I long to make this area a destination for all to come and both vacation and live. Anything I can do to help this cause I am more than willing to aid and facilitate.

About Me

Recently moved out here from CO, and VA before that. Originally from AZ.  When I was in CO I got into downhill riding, but there's not much of that out here, unfortunately.

I don't run because it is not exciting enough to distract me away from the pain.  When I ride, I prefer technical trails to keep me occupied and thinking about the trail.

Somehow I can ride a double black diamond downhill trail just fine, but have been known to somehow end up upside-down while climbing a gentle doubletrack slope.

For downhill, I really like Winter Park, CO.  For XC, my favorite ride is Elk Park Trail near Colorado Springs.  It was a long trail, good mix of flow and technical, beautiful, and as it is not a regularly used bike trail, I liked feeling a bit like I was exploring and didn't necessarily know if the trail ahead was washed out, in good condition, or even rideable.  Most of it was, but the uncertainty made it more interesting.

When do you think you will be getting a new bike?

as soon as possible
